Our Mission

For those you of you who have been to a war zone you know how 

miserable it is there…and from that misery Sticks for Soldiers (SfS) was born.  

For those of you who read my Winter 2004 feature in SMOKE Magazine you 

know this effort is a simple, from the heart effort to bring a bit of relief to 

the deployed American fighting man in the form of cigars.  

Cigars remain a refuge from chaos, a brief respite from the drudgery of war.  

This effort is not for profit in every sense: we’re not a company, don’t have 

officers and only gather to smoke and ship …Chuck and I have paid for shipping 

to the domestic APO and for the humibags, etc…100% of the sticks you donate go 

to the troops.  

I’ve moved to WOAI in San Antonio from KFAB in Omaha and have assembled a new 

team of cigars smoking buddies to support the SfS effort.  

You’ll find photos, stats, shipping updates, etc. on this site (maintained by another 

SfS volunteer and supporter, Tim, in Omaha) and I encourage you to involve your 

fellow cigar smoking buddies in this quest as we honor those people in the military 

who serve us faithfully around the globe.
